Emblem of the North American Free Trade Agreement

For those who have not kept abreast of the grave problems concerning the growing number of illegal immigrants in the U.S., the weakening of the U.S. borders, and all the problems in between, it appears that the U.S. Government (including President Bush) is working toward some kind of “North American Union” which calls to mind the idea of the European Union, which currently is made up of 27 independent countries who are tied together by a common economic and monetary system and other trade policies.
It appears that there are plans in our own U.S. Government to allow full labor mobility throughout North America (Mexico, the U.S., and Canada). This appears to be an extension of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) enacted in 1994, and with further provisions being set into place, this would mean no real borders between the three countries, and ultimately it would lead to the undoing of our country and the end of our nation’s independence.
Intertwined with this is the fact that the poorer people of Mexico would have to be given equal standing with the rest of North Americans as far as wages, benefits, housing, government assistance, social security, healthcare, and the like. This would cause more U.S. workers to lose their jobs and more people to be unemployed, and social security and government assistance programs to go bankrupt, and the list goes on and on. It is not hard to figure this out.
It is also reported that possibly as soon as January 1, 2010, Canada, the United States, and Mexico will replace all of their national currencies with something called the Amero and the borders will then be merged in order to give birth to a massive superstate. At that time it has been proposed that all American dollar notes and coins will be exchanged at the rate of one U.S. dollar for one Amero. The American people are already taxed to the limit and in fear for their jobs, etc. (One factory after another is relocating to Mexico or other places. Very few products in the stores are American made. And customer service reps for almost every business are now made up of non-Americans overseas in places like Japan and India.)
The John Birch Society has prepared answers to some frequently asked questions concerning the preposterous plans to form a North American Union and also offers a link where you can contact your congressman to protest this venture. This information can be accessed at: http://JBS.org/nau
And we better hurry with our FAXES, emails, phone calls, and letters. The latest news is that trucks from Mexico have been given free reign to make deliveries in the U.S. starting September 1st, which is also Labor Day Weekend.
The John Birch Society has also produced a pass-along card for distribution at exhibits, parades, and other events, as well as a poster and a pamphlet outlining the very scary prospects for a North American Union to be made up of Canada, the United States, and Mexico in the near future. Copies of these items can be purchased from the John Birch Society through their website at: http://JBS.org

Thanks for the great links!
To those Americans who are concerned about a North American Union, be not afraid, the large majority of Canadians have no desire to have our country become part of such a union. Mexicans may have a different opinion about it, but in Canada our founding fathers fought a war in the early 19th century ( 1812-1814) to keep us out of that type of amalgamation and we are not likely to stand by and let politicians nullify their sacrifices.
It is encouraging to know that there are thousands of Canadians who are against a North American Union and will do all in their powwer to stop it, but I still see signs every day of the U.S. president (including the new one, Obama) and the leaders of Canada and Mexico working toward a North American Union and a unified money system with the standard being an Amero. There are things on Google, YouTube, personal blogs, and just about everywhere that give signs of such a union coming about in the not too distant future. The present economic crises and the bailouts are helping to push this agenda.
